Who We Are

The Boise High Boosters (“Boosters,” “we,” “us”) is a volunteer parent and community organization supporting the 3 A’s at Boise High School: Academics, Activities & Athletics. We are a 501(c)(3) public charity. This policy covers boisehighboosters.com and the forms, sign-ups and payments connected to it.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Family memberships: your name, your student’s name(s), phone number, email address, mailing address, T-shirt sizes and the programs you’d like to support.
• Corporate sponsorships: your business name, contact name, phone, email, address, and your logo and website address if you choose a level that includes them.
• Donations: your name, email and gift details when you give through our GiveGab campaigns.
• Contact form: your name, email and the message you send us.
• Volunteer and committee sign-ups: your name and contact information.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our site and the services it uses may collect basic technical information such as your browser type, device and pages visited. This helps the site load quickly and work properly. We do not use it to identify you personally.

How We Use Your Information

• Process memberships, sponsorships, donations and purchases, and send receipts.
• Deliver membership perks, such as T-shirts, and direct your gift to the programs you choose.
• Recognize sponsors on our website and at events, as described in your sponsorship level.
• Answer your questions and requests.
• Send Booster news, such as Brave Weekly, event reminders and volunteer opportunities. You can opt out anytime.
• Keep financial and tax records, as required for a nonprofit.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:

• Payment processors. PayPal handles membership and sponsorship payments, and GiveGab handles donations. They receive what they need to complete your payment and follow their own privacy policies: PayPal privacy statement and GiveGab privacy policy.
• Service providers. Our website host and form tools store information on our behalf and may not use it for any other purpose.
• Board volunteers. Only Booster board and committee members who need your information to do their job (for example, sending T-shirts or thank-you notes) can see it.
• Sponsor recognition. Business names and logos appear on our website and at events only as part of the sponsorship level you choose.
• When required by law. We may share information if required by law or to protect the safety of our students and community.

Student Information & Photos

We ask for student names only to connect family memberships with students and school programs. We never publish student names from our forms.

We sometimes share photos from Booster events on our website, newsletter and social media. We don’t include students’ full names with photos. If you would like a photo removed, email us and we will take it down.

Our website is written for parents, families and community members, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Cookies & Third-Party Content

Our site uses a small number of cookies and similar tools to keep pages loading quickly and to make forms and payments work. Some pages include content from other services, such as our Instagram feed, Facebook links, the Booster calendar and GiveGab donation pages. These services may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as checkout, may not work without them.

How We Protect & Keep Your Information

We limit access to your information to the volunteers who need it, and our site uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. Card payments are handled entirely by PayPal and GiveGab, so card numbers never pass through or stay on our site.

We keep membership and contact information for as long as it’s needed for the school year and related programs. We keep financial records as long as required for nonprofit and tax purposes. After that, we delete or securely dispose of the information.

No website is ever 100% secure. If we ever learn of a problem affecting your information, we will let you know as required by law.

Your Choices & Rights

• See, correct or delete the information we have about you.
• Unsubscribe from Booster emails using the link in any email, or by asking us.
• Ask us to remove a photo from our website or social media.
• Opt out of sponsor recognition or change how your business is listed.

To make a request, email boisebraveparentsandboosters@gmail.com. We’ll respond as soon as we can, usually within 30 days.

Links to Other Websites

Our site links to other websites, such as Boise High School, our sponsors, GiveGab and social media. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please review their policies when you visit.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Important changes will also be shared in Brave Weekly.
